However what think is Nooka have very retro futuristic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro-futurism) designs. Nooka takes a different innovative approach to a watch face. They often use the familiarisation we have with a typical analog watch face yet make it digital. It questions what you once knew, you pay more attention and it grabs other peoples attention too. A analog clock is just a series of dots that we count in a way to tell us the time, below we do the same we count the rectangles to give you the hour and the minutes pushing along like a horizontal sand time filling up as the hour comes to a close
According to NIXON: We make the little shit better. The stuff you have that isn't noticed first, but can't be ignored. We pay attention to it. We argue about it. This sums it up quite accurately, it does not bring the science like Nooka however it cuts the crap and just produces interesting simplistic minimal watches. I may be a little biased as I do personally own one. However it is no exaggeration to say I get quite a lot of compliments when wearing them. Its not a 3k Rolex or Tag Heuer Monaco worn by Steve Mc Queen its a Nixon and its better shit...
